The General is a new building in Eindhoven, consisting of 78 studios and a common room and roof terrace. We offer new, fully-furnished studios for rent. Rental agreements can run 6- or 12 months, with possibility of extension if you would like to.
The General opened its doors on the 1st of August, 2019.
You can move in when you've made an appointment for the key transfer.
There is a notice period of two months.
Yes, you can choose any room that is available. We believe it's important to choose your own home.
No, this is not possible, unfortunately. But it is possible to choose a room next to someone if the specific room is available.
Go to available apartments, select the apartment you love, leave your details and we will send you an email as soon as possible.
You can pay with a Dutch bank account or a foreign bank account. Please, pay attention that there can be extra transfer costs. Unfortunately, it is not possible to pay using a credit card.
Don't hesitate to contact us and we will find a solution together.
No, you can only smoke outside. But it's healthier to stop smoking.
No, pets are not allowed. We don't bother about a goldfish, but we want to avoid (noise) disturbance.
No, there is one bedding pack and one kitchen pack already in your apartment.
It is not allowed for an unregistered person to stay in your room.
No, it is your own responsibility to clean your studio. See it as a nice workout. :)

You have a code in your room for the Wi-Fi.

Every studio will be inspected about two weeks prior to the resident leaving to ensure that the next resident doesn't get unwanted surprises.
No, you can stay during any holiday, also during summer.
Your deposit will be returned to you as soon as possible. Your room needs to be professionally cleaned after you have left it and we will also require a deregistration letter from the municipality. We strive to refund (the remainder) of your deposit within a month of your moving-out.
All of the studios have a 120 cm bed.
There is a mailbox at the entrance.
Yes, there is a free parking place (only for residents).
Yes, there are a few visitor parking spaces available.
Everybody has his own washing machine.
We think it's very important to contribute to a healthier environment. These are some things you can do to help us with that: - Turn off the lights when you leave.
- Switch off electrical appliances.
- A normal indoor temperature in The Netherlands is 19°C.
- Seperate your waste.
- Additionally, our handymen can sometimes ask you to hand in your empty batteries to them, so they can be properly recycled.
E-mail or contact us. We will arrange a new key for you, which will cost you €100,-. You will see the extra costs on your next invoice.
E-mail or call us. When you lock yourself out during office hours (Monday till Friday from 9:00 AM till 5:00 PM), we will charge you €25,-. When you lock yourself out outside of office hours, we will charge €175,-. You can see these extra costs on your next invoice.
The extra costs will be €240,- per month for all apartments and studios. The contents of these costs are:
- Furniture rent: €80,-
- Service costs: €80,-
- Electricity and water: €80,-
